I had the amazing privilege of growing up right here in the magical Pacific NW and currently live in Portland, Oregon. Growing up in a family of woodworkers, artists and entrepreneurs I was constantly making and fixing all sorts of things around the family farm. The NW was hard to stay away from, and after college I returned to attend graduate school in Portland, all the while, drawing, painting and building anything I could get my hands on. After over 10 years of practice in social work, I started my own family and left my practice to focus on my daughter. During this time with my young family I spent as much time as I could on painting, drawing and designing.
Greatly influenced by the history and beauty of the Pacific North West, my paintings and drawings are studies of curiosity of the natural scenes around me, the questions I have about philosophy and theology and expression of personal reflections upon my life. My art is always changing as my focus shifts to looking inward, at the greater world around me and the vast unknown.
